Savannah Does

In December of 2011, we decided to diversify our herd and add Registered South African Savannah goats to the farm. These are beautiful livestock meat goat animals. They are smaller boned than the Boar goat and have a greater meat to bone ratio. South African Savannah goats are fertile and have good mothering instincts. They bond well with their “kidds” and defend them aggressively against predators. Savannah goats are parasite resistant and tolerate extreme temperatures well. We currently have 3 full-blood Savannahs and 4 that are 97% purebred.

Our Savannahs are registered with Pedigree International and the North American Savannah Association.

Rex and Stephen also bought this beautiful Savanna Doe from Glen and Majorie Edwards at Indian Territory Farms (ITG) in Comanche, Oklahoma. Her Indian name is 'Makawee', which means 'Motherly'. (ITG A-34) She is a 100% DNA tested full blood Savanna.
